Develop, design, integrate and maintain the fiber and civil telecom network, and related services, taking into account the latest technical solutions and providing efficient and timely solutions in a fast moving environment in order to successfully establish a reliable network layer eventually leads to increase in revenue & profit .by:

·   Attends meeting with Authorities/Consultants for External Projects where existing/planned ducting system is affected.

·   Participate in the infrastructure projects for planning and development in order to provide Cost effective infrastructure design and design the right solutions of infrastructure networks

·   Represents the TN/FANP department during Main Fiber Ring project progress meetings.

·   Approves for works proposed by various authorities by studying their NOC’s and approval of shop drawings, materials for various projects.

·   Review all and Master Plans submitted by Building Developers / Consultants and provide overall designs and plans for the Infrastructure Civil and OSP to support the Fixed Access Network

·   Review all new Buildings NOCs’ submitted by Building Developers / Consultants and provide overall designs and plans for the Infrastructure ISP to support the Fixed Access Network and Mobile requirements

·   Review submissions from Building Developers/Consultants for Infrastructure Civil and OSP/ISP No-Objection-Certificates, recommend changes where required and once compliant with published standards approve and grant No Objection Certificate. This includes design, construction up to material phases.

·   Provide a high standard of documentation using software packages

·   Liaises with Team and Consultants for required re-routings due to various developments.

·   Reserves required reservations for ducting system in the corridors through NOC’s submitted by designers/consultants.

·   Meets consultants to explain du standards and guidelines to be followed in projects for civil related issues.

·   Advises the team/consultants for the preferred entry points to different communities.

·   Assesses cost implications of activities related to Civil Works.

·   Ensure quality and progress of works at intervals.

·   Monitors Progress of work to achieve target dates and plays pivotal role to solve civil related issues.

·   Shares required technical support and trouble solving techniques with team members in their activities.

·   Carrying out the design & implementation tasks for the new projects and upgrade activities for the existing project

·   -Conducts implementation of cable Infrastructure projects to remove single point of failures in backbone fiber network.
-Conducts implementation of Cable infrastructure projects to provide FOC link to various mobile Hub Sites to assist Mobile operation with the migration from microwave to fiber network to improve the capacity and the stability of mobile network ie 3G, LTE network.
- Implements various tie connections between network elements (fiber infrastructure) to improve operational efficiency of various active components within the network as per the request of Core & Transmission.

·   Integrates the newly built fiber network with the existing in coordination with operation
Maintains and archives various As-built in the system for network operation and maintenance

·   Troubleshooting:

o   • Including all Fiber Optic Cables cut incidents

o   • All FOC re-routing according to Road and Transport Authority and Dubai Municipality, or  to Main Projects Administrators

·   Du Fiber Optic Network Expansion:

-Provide fiber optic connectivity to Major Projects POP, MiniCore and Core Telecom Rooms

-Provide fiber optic connectivity to all BSCs/HUBs with coordination with transmission team     based on mobile team priority

-Provide fiber optic connectivity to special projects and top priority customers

Phase #1: Local Cable Unit

1)      Provide copper and/or fiber optic connectivity to site offices  ( direct buried or in temporary/permeant ducts) up to nearest MDF/POP

2)      Design and implement the ISP connectivity for resident/commercial towers

 

Phase #2: Fiber Optic Backbone Connectivity

1)      Handling all Du Fiber Optic Backbone re-routing

2)      Providing the fiber optic backbone connectivity primary/secondary  for the POP/MiniCores  of all Major Projects in new Dubai and the expansion of existing link

3)       Providing the fiber optic connectivity as per the requirements of Transport IP Team, Transport Transmission Team 

4)      Upgrade the Dubai Fiber Optic Ring Backbone ( Design, Tendering, implementation )

5)      Providing the fiber optic connectivity for most of Mobile HUB/Base Station in DXB Region for the 3G and LTE -A

6)      Supervise the pulling and termination of the submarine cable ending in FALCON Land Station and Fujairah Land Station

 

Phase #3: Fixed Access Network

1)      Physical Site survey for more than 500 customer sites around UAE

2)      Providing the initial civil design and BOQ for all surveyed sites

3)      A desktop survey (based on google earth and GIS)for more than 280 customer sites around UAE with design and BOQ

4)      Following the civil implementation of all approved FNU cases

5)      Following the civil implementation of all Mobile IIB Project Towers

6)      Following up the NOC’s and meeting in sites , with related authorities if necessary

7)      Following up all Minor Civil Work issues

 

Phase #4: Pre-Aggregation

1)      Supporting in IIB ( Mobile Backhaul) – LTE the 4G Mobile Network-phase 1 optimization around UAE

2)      Supporting Dubai Metro Stations Migration

 

3)      Implementing the Powering-up activity for the ALU SAR7 device installed for IIB phase 2  in 9 sites in DXB ,7 sites  in AUH, 3 sites in NE
